Every parent knows doing the Ten-Year Series works. The trouble is that attempting papers at home is not the same as improving. We turn ten years of papers into one guided plan, marked, with the mistakes corrected before they set.

Why a plan, not a pile of papers

Doing past papers works. Doing them without a loop does not.

A child who finishes ten papers alone has practised. A child whose ten papers were marked, explained and revisited has improved. Those are not the same thing.

Left to self-study, two things quietly fail. Children jump between years at random, rush, or give up halfway, so there is no plan. And they finish a paper without anyone reviewing the working, so the same mistakes repeat. This programme replaces both: a structured walkthrough of every paper, then a correction loop that makes the fix stick.

We start with the most recent paper, where the question styles are closest to what your child will face, and work back to 2016 so they see how the paper has evolved. Two genuinely tough questions from the 2024 PSLE Paper 2. Have a go, then open the method. In the session your child sees the working built live, then submits their own attempt for marking.

Yan had two bags of sugar, A and B. The mass of sugar in B was 5/7 of that in A. After she added 600 g of sugar to A and 1.75 kg of sugar to B, A had 200 g less sugar than B. What was the total mass of sugar in A and B at first? Give your answer in grams.

The structure: a difference question. Let A start at 7 units, so B starts at 5 units, a gap of 2 units.

The working: after adding, A becomes (7 units + 600 g) and B becomes (5 units + 1750 g). A is 200 g less than B, so 5 units + 1750 is 200 more than 7 units + 600. That leaves 1750 less 600 less 200 = 950 g sitting on 2 units, so 2 units = 950 g and 1 unit = 475 g.

At first: A = 7 units = 3325 g and B = 5 units = 2375 g.

Answer: 3325 + 2375 = 5700 g.

The sum of two numbers is 60. Each number is smaller than 40 and has exactly six factors. Their common factors are 1, 2 and 4. What are these two numbers?

Reveal the method & answer

The structure: work from the clues, not by trial. The common factors include 4 but not 8, so both numbers are multiples of 4, and at most one of them can also be a multiple of 8.

The working: numbers under 40 with exactly six factors that are multiples of 4 are 12, 20, 28 and 32. Only one pair from this list sums to 60: 28 and 32.

Check: 28 = 2 x 2 x 7 has factors 1, 2, 4, 7, 14, 28; 32 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 has factors 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. Their common factors are exactly 1, 2 and 4, and both are below 40.

Answer: the two numbers are 28 and 32.

is scoring AL3 to AL4 and wants to push towards AL1 to AL2;
is already strong but wants sharper technique, speed and edge-case exposure;
loses marks to carelessness: misreading, skipping steps, rushing;
feels uncertain and needs clear structure and guided pacing;
is in a busy family that needs recordings for flexibility.

A weaker child can keep up too: this is guided teaching, not self-study. Every question is explained live, and the recordings let them revisit at their own pace.

Questions parents ask

The programme has already started. Can my child still join?

Yes. It runs from 2 May to 4 September, so you can join anytime while it is live. Your child attends the remaining sessions and catches up on every earlier paper through the recordings on the LMS, uploaded within 48 hours of each class, with access through to PSLE.

Is there a discount on the TYS programme?

The individual programme stays at $997.50, with everything included. We do not run a separate discount on it. If you want a saving, the PSLE Bundle pairs the TYS walkthrough with the Lock & Key Intensive and Mock Exams at a built-in 10% off.

How is this different from buying the TYS book and doing it at home?

At home, papers get attempted at random and the same mistakes repeat because no one reviews the working. Here, all ten years are walked through in a structured order, every paper is marked with personalised feedback, and the recordings let your child revisit the hard questions. It is the correction loop, not the paper, that drives the improvement.

My child is already doing okay. Will this still help?

Yes. Many AL3 to AL4 students use it to push towards AL1 to AL2, and even strong students benefit from sharper timing, cleaner presentation and exposure to edge-case questions across ten full papers.

My child is weak in Math. Can they keep up?

Yes. This is guided teaching, not self-study. Every question is explained live, the feedback shows exactly what to fix, and the recordings let your child go back over anything at their own pace.

How does the marking work, and how long does it take?

Your child submits each paper and it is returned with written feedback on what went wrong, why, and how to fix it, within three weeks. The comments are about method and presentation, not just the final number.

Who teaches it?

Mrs Eileen Toh, Ms JS Lee and Ms Tan share the ten sessions, all on Zoom. The same team marks your child's submitted papers, so the teaching and the feedback come from the people who built the programme.

My child is already a GPA student. Do we need to register?

It depends on the programme. PSLE Last Lap students get the TYS walkthrough as part of their bundle at no extra fee. Weekly Primary 6 students can add it at an internal rate. Check with us first and we will tell you which applies, so you do not pay twice.
