Why Sec 3 to Sec 4
In Sec 4 the class moves on to new chapters and then to O-Level revision, and the Sec 3 topics are assumed. The November holiday is the time to check them.
Day 1 works the Sec 3 topics Sec 4 builds on, at Sec 4 standard. Day 2 opens one Sec 4 topic so the first chapter of the year is already familiar, then a paper marked the same afternoon tells you, question by question, where your child stands going into the O-Level year. The detailed topic list is confirmed closer to the date and sent to registered families.
Three Sec 3 topics Sec 4 builds on (confirmed closer to the date).
One Sec 4 topic, taught before the class reaches it.
A paper on the two days' work, marked the same afternoon, handed back with the tutor's notes.
Day by day
The programme follows Genius Plus lesson codes 9D11 to 9D15, taught from our own in-house Sec 3 and Sec 4 materials. The detailed topic list for this run is confirmed closer to the date and sent to registered families.
Day 1 · Fri 13 Nov · 10am to 3pm
Day 2 · Mon 16 Nov · 10am to 3pm
By the end of Day 2 your child will have worked the Sec 3 topics Sec 4 builds on at Sec 4 standard, met one Sec 4 topic, and sat a marked paper on all of it.
What you get back
On the afternoon of Day 2 your child sits a paper on the two days' work. The tutor marks it the same afternoon. Your child brings home the marked paper and the tutor's written notes. The progress consult follows after the camp.
Marked the same afternoon, so you can see the working for each question and where the marks went.
The tutor writes down which question types your child can now do on their own, and one or two things to practise before Sec 4.
After the camp we sit down with you and go through the gaps and strengths we saw over the two days, where your child stands going into Sec 4, and what to focus on in Term 1.
A school test tells you how many marks went. This tells you which ones, and why.

Who it suits
This camp is meant for the Sec 3 student whose end-of-year results show some Sec 3 chapters are not secure yet. If your child is already secure across Sec 3, our weekly Sec 4 class is the better fit, and we will tell you so if you ask.
The camp is a good fit if you:
Not sure? Send us your child's most recent Sec 3 Math paper on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether this camp fits.
Your child does not need to have attended Genius Plus before.
Built on the MOE Sec 3 and Sec 4 syllabus, so it follows what your child did this year and what Sec 4 starts with.
Taught from the same in-house materials as our weekly classes.

A word from Mrs Toh
"You plan for success. You do not wish for it."
One of my boys came home with 20 out of 30 for his Math weighted assessment and told me full marks was too far away for him. So I asked him: how far is 20 from 30? Very far, he said. Can you improve by one mark a day? Yes, he said, one mark is doable. Then how many days to 30? He thought about it. Ten.
Real life is harder than ten days, of course. But that is how I think about a child and Math. Our job as parents is not to panic. It is to find out which marks are going, fix one thing at a time, and let the small wins add up.
That is what these two days are for. Ms GX Tan and I teach one, guide one, then let them try one, on the Sec 3 work Sec 4 assumes. On Day 2 your child meets one Sec 4 topic and sits a paper that we mark that afternoon. You go home knowing which marks are going and why, and where to start.

In parents' words
"My eldest son improved from F9 to B4, and my second son went from D7 to A1 during his O level prelim. The results speak for themselves."
"The tutors understand exactly where my child is lacking. Their teaching approach has instilled confidence and built a very strong foundation in Mathematics."
"After trying a few centers, the difference here is that she comes receptive and open to extra lessons and camps. Since she's been here, I've seen her grades improve significantly."
